I am just commenting to express my disgust with Charlie Flanagan and his inability as Minister for Justice to stop the system of bots block booking visa renewal appointments online. As the partner of an immigrant we spent 3 months desperately trying to book an appointment but could not as the system had been infiltrated by hackers who block book all the appointments out in seconds and sell appointments on for 20 to 30 euro.

We had to resort to buying an appointment from the scammers as a last resort only 4 days ago as his visa expired and we couldn't get an appointment after months attempting to. THE ONLINE SYSTEM IS AN UTTER FAILURE and Mr Flanagan has done nothing substantial to address it despite falsely stating to the papers he had in September. All over Facebook there are illegal companies openly advertising and selling appointments to desperate foreigners and INIS have done nothing! Immigrant issues are low on the list for Fine Gael it seems as it doesn't lose them votes.
I am an Irish citizen deeply affected by whats happened to my partner and this fiasco of an immigration system and I will never ever vote Fine Gael again. It's scandalous that nothing has been done in months to stop hackers making money illegally from a government system.

Mr Flanagan needs to hang his head in shame.
